Winter Lift Passes

There are three main types of skipass in Chamonix depending on what you want to do, how high you’d like to ski and your level of experience. The Mont Blanc Unlimited (MBU) is for skiers who want to experience the high altitude off-piste of the Vallée Blanche and the top of Grands Montets**, with access to skiing in 3 countries. Chamonix Le Pass is for those who prefer to ski at slightly lower altitudes on more intermediate pistes, around the local Chamonix area. 

Mont Blanc Unlimited Ski Pass 

This is the skipass that does everything - giving you access to 3 countries, 10 different ski areas and Chamonix’s 3 main visitor attractions. 
 
What’s included for skiing: 
+ Les Houches ski area
+ Brevent / Flegere ski area
+ Les Grands Montets, including the summit cable car.**
+Le Tour & Vallorcine (also known as Domaine de Balme)
+ Beginner ski areas: La Vormaine, les Chosalets, Le Savoy, Plateau 2000 (Planpraz), Plateau de Lognan and Les Planards
+ Evasion Mont Blanc ski area; Megève, Saint-Gervais, Les Contamines, Saint Nicolas de Véroce, Le Jaillet, Combloux, La Giettaz
+ Courmayeur ski area in Italy (with a 2-21 day pass*)
+ Crans Montana ski area in Switzerland (with a 2-21 day pass*)-
 
*Please note that to access the Courmayeur, Evasion Mont Blanc and Crans Montana ski areas you must also present your lift pass receipt as well as the actual lift pass. 
**Summit cable car is out of use for winter 2025/2026 for repairs. Access to ski area with Plan Joran gondola.

Lift pass insurance covering search and rescue, repatriation costs and refunds for unfavourable weather is also available at 3.5 € per person per day.

Chamonix Le Pass 

This ski pass is the best value option if you prefer to stay on groomed runs, or need to stay local perhaps because you have children in ski school. It gives you access to three ski areas within the Chamonix valley: 
 
+ Brevent / Flegere ski area 
+ Les Grands Montets (excluding top cable car to summit) 
+ Le Tour & Vallorcine (also known as Domaine de Balme) 
+ Beginner ski areas: La Vormaine, les Chosalets, Le Savoy, Plateau 2000 (Planpraz), Plateau de Lognan and Les Planards
 
Lift pass insurance covering search and rescue, repatriation costs and refunds for unfavourable weather is also available at 3.5 € per person per day. 

 

Summer Lift passes

There is one main type of summer lift pass in Chamonix, the Mont Blanc Multipass - giving you access to Chamonix’s 3 main visitor attractions and the lifts in 7 different areas around the Chamonix Valley & neighbouring resorts.
