Chalet les Sauberands is situated just to the east of the town centre. It is on Chemin des Sauberands and close to "les Planards" nursery slopes. It is 450 metres on foot to Avenue Michel Croz, the start of the main shopping streets in Chamonix.
The nearest supermarket is Casino in the town centre (650 metres) or Carrefour Market (same distance. There are a couple of restaurants and bars within 200 metres, but the main choices are in the town centre.
For access to the skiing, the nursery slopes of les Planards are a short walk away. For the main ski areas, the nearest is Brévent, just to the north of Chamonix centre, 1500 metres away (3-4 minutes by car or bus). The nearest bus stop is 200 metres away at the gare du Montenvers, with the main train station 450 metres away.
